With Jesus in our Hearts, we have:
The passion to learn,
The courage to fail,
The strength to love
Our Class Teachers are Mrs Dickinson and Mrs Matthews and our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Francis.
We follow different themes during each half term but we may also follow learning from other interests we have shown. We read a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction and poetry books which can link to our theme.

Our PE session is every Wednesday (either indoors or outdoors). In Reception our PE kit stays in school so that the children can practise getting changed into and out of their kit.
We follow God Matters in Religious Education (the Portsmouth Diocese scheme of learning). The children learn two hours of RE per week in EYFS.
Things that help us learn
We follow Little Wandle Phonics scheme and use Big Cat books to support our reading home learning. We use Tapestry as our online learning journal in Year R. Photos are regularly posted onto Tapestry to show the learning we are doing in school. Parents can also use this tool to comment on any observations and to add any of their own observations from learning that has taken place outside of school.
Our Curriculum Map
In EYFS, we explore All About Me, Sparkles and Stars, People Who Help Us, Heroes and Happily Ever After, Grow, Grow, Grow, Animal Magic and more! Take a look at our Curriculum Map to see what we are currently learning about during our EYFS journey.
Trips
In EYFS, we go to the Post Office, to the local park and to RHS Wisley over the course of a year. We welcome parents to support us on our trips (parents will need a DBS organised by the school – please see the school office).
If you have any questions or there is anything urgent that you think we need to know, please contact the School Office either by phone at 01252 548123 or by email at adminoffice@st-bernadettes.hants.sch.uk
