Homework
This year, homework will be set on a weekly basis (see each class page for details) and due in the same day the following week. The homework tasks will focus on helping children to overlearn the basics, such as spellings and times tables. The class teachers will go through the expectations with your children but here is an overview of the tasks your child may be asked to complete:
- Reading every day and at least 3 times a week to an adult
- Learning spellings
- Times Table Rockstars
- Mathletics
- RE – termly and will often be a whole school project.
Log in details will be sent out during the first two weeks. Hopefully this will make homework more achievable for the children at home and benefits them by giving them instant feedback on much of what they do. If you have any difficulties accessing the online websites, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
