Parks Class

Welcome to Parks Class

Our Teacher is Mr Taylor and our Learning Support Assistants are Mrs Salvidge and Mrs Sullivan.

At the moment, we are learning all about life in the Stone Age and its continuation through to the Iron Age. Part of this learning involves looking at different types of sources to investigate life in Britain during these times and exploring evidence of settlements such as Skara Brae.  We look to identify how life has changed between then and now and what similarities still remain.

We are reading Stig of the Dump by Clive King as part of our guided reading sessions and as a class novel.

Things that help us learn

We use Timetable Rockstars, Mathletics and Oxford Reading Owl to support our home learning. We have established the use of Google Classroom as our online learning platform in Key Stage 2 which is currently used to support children learning at home but will take on the realm as a means of delivering and returning homework in the future.

Our Curriculum Web

In Year 3/4, we learn about Volcanoes and Earthquakes, Stone Age to Iron Age and The Romans as well as many more exciting things! Take a look at our curriculum webs to see what we are going to learn about throughout our Year 3/4 journey.

Normally in Year 3/4, we would intend to visit Butser Farm for our Stone Age to Iron Age topic Fishbourne Roman Palace to support our learning on The Romans. Due to the pandemic, we aren’t able to go on any of our normal trips. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.

If you have any questions or there is anything urgent you need to make us aware of, please contact the School Office either by phone at 01252 548123 or by email at
