As part of Road Safety Week, representatives from Grundon Waste Management came in to school on 21st November to speak to the children about road safety. Pupils were given a presentation by the Grundon Road Safety Team, including Mr Brady, who is a parent governor at St Bernadette’s. Every child enjoyed a tour of the cabin to see for themselves just how limited visibility from the cab can be for the lorry driver. Each child took part in additional activities in class and received a high visibility slap band to keep them visible to drivers on their way to and from school. New high visibility jackets, with the school’s name on, were also kindly donated to the school.
