Following the latest Government update regarding the spread of Coronavirus we have adapted our advice to members of our school community.
If any members of your family display symptoms of Coronavirus, specifically: a new, persistent cough or a consistently high temperature, the whole family is now required to self-isolate according to government guidance, for fourteen days.
Therefore, if any children are sent home with these symptoms, siblings will also be sent home for fourteen days.
Any absence which is required due to Coronavirus or family isolation will be recorded as "exceptional circumstances" and will not affect the children's attendance rate. This will only apply if you have been in contact with the school to inform us of the reason for your child's absence.
Please be aware that if children are kept off school and we are not informed of the reason why, the absence will be unauthorised. Under safeguarding regulations we have a duty to report children who are missing from education to the local authority in circumstances where we have not had contact from parents.
You will receive further updates as the situation evolves.
