Between 15th and 19th May, our pupils joined thousands of children across the country to celebrate the benefits of walking.
During Walk to School Week, pupils collected stickers each morning from the Gazebo if they had walked to school. Pupils who walked every morning received a certificate at the end of the week congratulating them for their achievement.
We know that walking to school makes children feel healthier and happier, while reducing congestion and pollution outside the school gates. Yet less than half of primary school children currently walk to school.
We want to reverse this decline and see every child that can, walk to school as often as possible.
